ABOUT US
BUILDING HEALTHY EQUITABLE COMMUNITIES
Who We Are
Real Veggie Foundation is a registered non-profit organization serving the underserved communities since December 2021 by providing access to information, resources, and services that offer healthier lifestyle options.
Vision
The Foundation liberates people to explore new food groups, to interject new and healthier plant-based options into their diet and educates them on the benefits of a plant-based lifestyle. Ultimately, we create equitable communities by serving as a bridge whereby everyone will have access to these items in a fair and justified manner. This will further encourage and in the overtime, entrench healthy eating habits in plant-based food desert communities, bringing longstanding healthy practices back into our communities.
Mission
To connect underserved communities with healthy food options. To provide high quality plant-based food options for free or low-cost.
Make a donation.
This program brings vital resources into food deserts communities across the city in alignment with Mayor Eric Adams's commitment to increasing healthy food options. Mayor Adams stated, “When it comes to preventing diet-related chronic diseases, there is a growing recognition that it’s not our DNA — it’s our dinner.”
